Team Goatcher Racing
It's not just the names on the roster or the numbers on the skis.
It's racers. Families. Friends. Crew. Coaches. Sponsors. The people turning wrenches, holding starting stands, cheering from shore, loading trailers and showing up when things don't go as planned.
Every rider on this roster got here a different way. Some grew up in the pit with a wrench in their hand. Some found jet ski racing as adults and never looked back. Some are juniors working toward their first national podium, and some have been racing since the sport was new. What they share is the same crew standing behind them — parents, partners, mechanics, mentors and friends who give up their weekends so somebody else can make a start.
Team Goatcher Racing is that crew. It brings riders of every age and experience level together in one place, racing classes that run from vintage and limited skis through modified and open machines, and it gives them one pit to work out of and one team to lean on. Veterans pass along seat time, setup knowledge and the hard-earned lessons of a bad day on the water. Newer riders bring the pace and the hunger to prove themselves. Everybody carries something, and nobody has to figure it out alone.
The businesses on our Partners page belong to the same group. Gear makers, oil and impeller brands, parts and engine specialists, race radio suppliers, sign shops, design studios, restaurants and health professionals — each one backs a rider so that rider can back the team. That is the whole idea the team races under: Together We Win.
What is Team Goatcher?
A race team built around a shared love for watercross — and the belief that we're stronger when we work together.
Different ages. Different classes. Different goals.
One team. One pit. One family.
Together We Win.
The team
Team Goatcher Racing carries the name of Harry "Haulin' Harry" Goatcher, who has raced professionally since the late 1980s, when he rode with L&S Engineering in the early days of the sport. After a long time away from the water, Harry came back to racing — and instead of returning alone, he built a team around him.
That return became the foundation for something bigger than one rider. Harry's experience, his love of competition and his belief in helping others get to the start line are what Team Goatcher Racing is built on today.
Today the team brings together riders of every age and experience level — juniors chasing their first big results, amateurs racing for the love of it, and veterans with decades of seat time. They race in a wide range of classes, from vintage and limited skis to modified and open machines.
The results speak for the work they put in: World Finals podiums, class wins across multiple states and countries, and season after season of riders improving together. Every rider has their own page on this site, with their number, their story, their machine and their achievements. One team. One dream.
Team Goatcher Racing competes across the jet ski racing calendar, from regional series such as Best of the West and Wild West to the IJSBA World Finals at Lake Havasu — the team's home waters and the biggest stage in the sport.
Race weekends are long days of practice, motos, repairs and travel. That's where the team spirit shows: riders help each other in the pit, families share tools and tents, and everyone celebrates each other's results. You can follow the full race calendar, results and standings on our Events page.
None of this happens without the businesses that stand behind us. Our partners range from leading names in the sport — gear, oils, impellers, parts, race radios and engine work — to local businesses, restaurants, insurance, design studios and health and recovery specialists.
Each partner has a dedicated page on this site telling their story and what they offer, and we ask everyone who follows the team to support the brands that support our riders. If your business wants to be part of the next season, we'd love to hear from you.
