New Partners Rolling In: Competitive Crankshafts and Cart Addictions Join Team Goatcher Racing
Two posts on the Team Goatcher Racing Facebook page this week tell the story of where this team is headed. In one, we welcomed Competitive Crankshafts to the Team Goatcher Racing family. In the other, we teased something big rolling into the pit: a new team golf cart, courtesy of Cart Addictions. One partner works deep inside the engine. The other keeps the whole crew moving on race day. Together they show what our key line, Together We Win, looks like in practice.
Welcome aboard, Competitive Crankshafts
"Couldn't be happier for this merger with Competitive Crankshafts. It's gonna be a great year! Welcome aboard." That was the team's reply under the welcome post, and it sums up how we feel about this partnership.
Competitive Crankshafts is a 2-stroke crankshaft specialist based in Garden City, Idaho, just outside Boise. The shop is owned by Jeff Seebold, and in our pit he is known simply as the best in the business. The shop's motto is simple: crankshafts, rebuilt to run hard. Every assembly is rebuilt in the USA, and the shop works on watercraft, snowmobiles, motorcycles and ATVs.
For jet ski racers, the watercraft side is what matters. The shop rebuilds cranks for Kawasaki, Yamaha, Sea-Doo and Polaris personal watercraft. Each one is torn down and inspected. Worn rods, bearings and seals are replaced, welding is done where it is needed, and the assembly is pressed, trued and balanced. Before a crank ships back, it is measured for runout so it is ready to drop in and run.
Their mail-in service matters for a team like ours. Our riders come from many different towns and states. A rider anywhere in the country can pull a crank, ship it to Idaho and get a professional rebuild back without living near the shop.
Why the bottom end matters
In jet ski racing, the bottom end is the heart of the engine. A crank that is out of true robs power, shakes the motor and can end a race weekend early. A 2-stroke race engine spends heat after heat at full throttle. That kind of load finds every weak point, and the crank is one of the first places it shows up.
That is why this partnership means so much to our 2-stroke riders. That group includes Travis Billings (#7), Parker Toth (#111), Ryder Bliss (#492), Jake Venditto (#630), Louie Venditto (#223) and our man, Holeshot Hunter Burks (#93). Every one of them depends on an engine that holds together all weekend. A fresh, true crank is not glamorous. It is the kind of work that decides whether you finish a moto or watch it from the beach.
If you want a closer look at what goes into a race ski before it hits the water, read our article Inside the Pit: How a Race Ski Is Prepared for Battle. Engine reliability is a big part of that story, and partners like Competitive Crankshafts are a big part of engine reliability.
Something big is rolling in: Cart Addictions
The second post landed a day earlier: "Something BIG is rolling into Team Goatcher! Stay tuned for the reveal of our new golf cart, thanks to Cart Addictions for hooking up the team." The comments filled up fast, and Louie Venditto summed it up in two words: "Rolling tuff!"
Cart Addictions builds custom golf carts and has been in business since 2005. Owner Thomas Daniel Faretta IV and his team do custom builds, rentals and service. Their carts are made to look great, run reliably and fit the way their owners live and play.
Anyone who has spent a weekend in a jet ski racing pit knows why a cart matters. There is a lot of ground to cover. You go from the trailer to staging, from the water's edge to the results board, and back again. You haul fuel, tools, gear, coolers and people all day long. When the time between motos is short, a reliable cart keeps a rider's crew on schedule. It also gives younger riders and their families an easier way around a big venue.
That is a perfect fit for a team that calls itself one pit and one family. Families like the Vendittos, whose story we told in One Pit, One Family: The Venditto Racing Story, spend whole weekends together at the lake. Our junior riders, like Travis Billings (#7) and Parker Toth (#111), have parents and crew moving gear for them all day. A team cart helps everyone get where they need to be.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for the full reveal. We will share it here too once it rolls out.
The partners behind the riders
These two partners join a strong group of businesses on our Partners page. Some build gear, oils and impellers. Some build parts and engines. Others run sign shops, design studios, restaurants and health practices. Each one backs a rider so that rider can back the team. You can read more about that group in The Partners Behind Team Goatcher Racing.
The team itself grew out of a comeback. Haulin' Harry Goatcher raced pro from the late 1980s and returned to the sport after a long time away. That return became a team built on family, friendship and support. You can read his story in Haulin' Harry Goatcher: The Return of a Jet Ski Racing Legend, and learn more about who we are on our About page.
What comes next
The 2027 season is already taking shape. The Wild West rounds are on our Events page, along with past results from the World Finals at Lake Havasu. You can catch up on that week in 2026 IJSBA World Finals: Team Goatcher Racing at Lake Havasu.
With Competitive Crankshafts helping keep engines strong and Cart Addictions keeping the crew rolling, our riders head into the new year with more support than ever. To both teams: welcome to the family, and thank you.
Is your business ready to join them? Our partners reach riders, families and fans across the jet ski racing community. Get in touch to talk about a partnership with Team Goatcher Racing. Together We Win.
